About Me

My name is Santai, and I was born and raised in Kenya, a Swahili-speaking country in East Africa. I hold a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from OntarioTech in Canada. My work experience has been mainly in the travel industry, where I have worked as a guide in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, a tour operator, a tour director, and currently, I am a destination expert with a leading tour company in North America.

I am excited to share my knowledge and skills in three areas: Swahili, Mathematics, and Travel.

• Swahili (or Kiswahili) Swahili is the national language of Kenya, spoken by over 200 million people in Africa and beyond. I grew up speaking Swahili, and I am fluent in the language. I have taught Swahili to my guests, friends, and even my two young children. I offer Swahili sessions and resources that are sure to provide value to anyone looking to learn the language.
• Maths With a background in Applied Mathematics, I have a deep understanding of numbers and their applications. I am skilled in explaining math concepts, tricks, and theories, and I offer prepared concept breakdown handouts to help my clients understand basic, intermediate, and advanced math concepts. • Travel Lastly, my passion for travel has led me to specialize in destinations such as Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Zanzibar, the Seychelles, and Egypt. As a destination expert with a leading tour company, I have the experience and knowledge needed to offer advice, tips, and plan trips for anyone looking to travel to East Africa. I offer Q&A sessions on travel, where I provide information on what you need, the best times to travel, the best companies to travel with, and most importantly, how to save over 40% on your safari.
